We were honored to have Mr. Mohamed Abdelhamied — Vice Chairman, Financial Regulatory Authority FRA, witness the signing of the MoU.

The MoU was signed by Eng Ahmed Khalifa – Executive Director, Regulatory Sandbox at the FRA Sandbox and Chief Data Officer at FRA and Mr. Fady Ismaeel – Founder - Managing Director at AGX.

This partnership will enable us to work closely together to:

✔️ Build a structured pipeline for cybersecurity startups, preparing them to explore participation in the FRA Sandbox and access regulatory guidance.

✔️ Organize FinTech cybersecurity hackathons and innovation challenges addressing key priorities such as fraud prevention, digital identity, RegTech, and Open Finance security.

✔️ Support the acceleration and growth of startups with cybersecurity solutions for the FinTech and non-banking financial sectors through business development, regulatory guidance, investment readiness, and market access.

✔️ Facilitate Egypt-Africa market access by supporting Egyptian FinTech startups seeking to expand into African markets, while enabling African companies to explore opportunities in the Egyptian market.

✔️ Promote regional knowledge exchange between the FRA Sandbox and regulatory and innovation stakeholders across Africa, sharing experiences and best practices in regulatory innovation and financial services.

Through this strategic partnership, we look forward to empowering cybersecurity and FinTech startups and creating stronger pathways for innovation, investment, and cross-border growth across Egypt and Africa.
