We at the FRA Sandbox are pleased to support the recently launched initiative in the trade sector, with strong integration across the insurance and non-bank finance sectors.

We are proud to have contributed to the initial discussions shaping this initiative, reflecting our ongoing commitment to fostering effective collaboration between regulators and market participants.

We also welcome the launch of the Regional Program for Digital Trade and E-commerce in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), implemented in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), as part of broader regional efforts to advance digital trade and economic integration. The program, launched in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and H.E. Ms. Angelina Eichhorst, Ambassador and Head of the European Union Delegation to Egypt, reflects a strong and shared commitment to strengthening cross-border digital ecosystems.

The initiative brings together key international partners, including the European Union, GIZ, and the International Trade Centre, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts to enable secure, efficient, and scalable digital trade across the region.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ms. Dina Hassanien, Country Coordinator – Egypt & Head of Component, GIZ Egypt, for her instrumental role and continued support in driving this initiative forward and fostering impactful collaboration across stakeholders.

Through the FRA Sandbox, under the leadership of Eng. Ahmed Khalifa, Executive Director of the FRA Sandbox and Chief Data Officer, we continue to support innovative solutions by providing a controlled and supervised environment where new models can be tested and refined.
